Barclays Center Hosts SummerSlam With Tickets Averaging Over $500

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York will be in the spotlight of the WWE Universe in the next week as some major events are passing through the doors, including the WWE’s main summer pay-per-view event, SummerSlam.

On August 23, the 28th annual SummerSlam event will take place outside of Los Angeles for the first time since 2008 at the Barclays Center. The Undertaker will be getting his rematch against Brock Lesnar, the man who ruined his historic undefeated Wrestlemania record. Randy Orton and Sheamus will go at it, along with United States Champion John Cena wrestling WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a title-for-title bout, among many other top-flight matches.

The following night, WWE Monday Night Raw will be held in the same venue, focusing on the fallout from what is sure to be another thrilling pay-per-view extravaganza. Changes may be made before the event, but as of now Cena, Orton, Roman Reigns, Rollins, Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Big Show, Ryback, Kevin Owens, Cesaro and others are all scheduled to participate.

Each of the events being held at the Barclays Center is a hot commodity. According to TiqIQ.com, SummerSlam tickets have an average price of $514.91 with a get-in price of $225 on the secondary market. With those expensive tickets, it’s a good thing you can at least save on Barclays Center parking, which is only $7 on ParkWhiz.com. The following night, tickets to Monday Night Raw have an average price of $149.39 with a get-in price of $50.

The event on Monday will be dictated by what happens at SummerSlam, so there is really no telling what’s in store. One thing for certain is the drama will be high, after the world-class entertainers will be putting their bodies on the line the night before. SummerSlam is the premier summer event on the WWE calendar and there will be multiple moments and displays of athletic ability that will have fans picking their jaw off the floor.

So next week, Brooklyn takes over the WWE for back-to-back premier events at one of the top venues in the country. WWE and its fans are guaranteed a top-of-the-line experience no matter which dates they attend.
